Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Pharmacy Student Intern to support the pharmacy team. Under supervision, you will prepare and distribute medications and IV solutions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies. You will handle repackaging, labeling, and stocking duties in the unit dose areas and OR-related supply chain.

The role emphasizes aseptic technique in parenteral admixtures and keeping inventory in check while learning pharmacy operations within a hospital setting.

Formación

• Must be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy degree program and must have completed year 2.
• Registration as Pharmacy Student Intern is required.
• 0-1 years related work experience expected.
• Basic familiarity with computers and navigating web-based applications.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares and distributes medications and IV solutions under supervision.
• Distributes automated dispensing cabinetry quantities and monitors discharge/transfer lists.
• Delivers medications with appropriate labels and assists with repackaging of tablets, capsules and liquids.
• Performs aseptic technique in compounding parenteral admixtures and related OR kits.
• Maintains stock in the unit dose area and satellites and checks for expired medications.
