Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Pharmacy Student Intern to support the Department of Pharmacy under supervision. The role focuses on preparing and distributing medications and IV solutions, with emphasis on aseptic technique and accuracy in labeling and packaging.

Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy degree program, have completed year 2, and be registered as a Pharmacy Student Intern.

Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical training in Pharmacy degree program (2nd year completed) required.
• Registration as Pharmacy Student Intern required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy degree program and must have completed year 2.
• Basic familiarity with computers; able to navigate basic web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Develops familiarity with medications: generic and trade names, administration methods, dosages and conversions.
• Distributes automated dispensing cabinetry with appropriate dosage forms and monitors discharge/transfer lists; manages bins.
• Delivers medications with appropriate labels; restocks and ensures accurate labeling and packaging.
