Job summary

Weis Markets in Dallas, PA is seeking a Pharmacy Service Representative to provide prompt, accurate prescription processing and customer service in the Pharmacy Department. You will perform data entry, handle prescription processing, and assist with inventory management as part of a team focused on accuracy and efficiency.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least 600 practical hours in retail or pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED plus 600 practical hours in retail and/or pharmacy operations; or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

Perform duties of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.
Enter prescriptions into computer systems, including patient and prescriber searches, drug selection, and insurance billing.
Process new and refill prescriptions and obtain refill authorization from doctors where state law permits.
Retrieve medications from inventory in adherence to state law.
Create prescription labels and attach them to containers.
Package medications into containers per state requirements.
Complete paperwork for prescription filling and input data into computer systems.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the Pharmacy department.
Assist in inventory management, including order review, returns, restocking, and inventory prep.
Reconstitute oral liquids where permitted by state law.
