Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department. The role involves accurate computer entry of prescription data, insurance billing, and processing new and refill prescriptions in compliance with state laws.

You will assist with inventory management, maintain a clean department, and support daily pharmacy operations to deliver excellent customer service and accurate medication handling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 600 hours of practical retail/pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions and duties of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.
• Enter prescription information into the computer, including patient and prescriber data and insurance billing.
• Process new and refill prescriptions, including obtaining authorization when required by state law.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and prepare labels and containers as permitted by state law.
• Support maintaining a clean, organized Pharmacy department and assist with inventory management.
