Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Pharmacy Service Representative in Pennsylvania to provide prompt prescription processing and friendly patient service. The role includes accurate data entry, insurance billing, and maintaining an orderly pharmacy area.

You will assist with inventory management, labeling, and dispensing tasks in a fast-paced retail setting, under state law. A high school diploma or GED with 600 hours in retail/pharmacy operations is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 600 hours retail/pharmacy operations experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to perform prescription data entry and basic problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• Perform Pharmacy Service Representative duties to ensure prompt service in Pharmacy Department.
• Enter prescription information, search patients/prescribers, process insurance billing, and resolve basic issues.
• Accept and process new and refill prescriptions, including appropriate authorization where required by state law.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and create labels for containers, following state regulations.
• Assist in maintaining clean, organized pharmacy area and participate in inventory management.
