Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Pharmacy Service Representative to provide prompt service in the Pharmacy Department. The role includes prescription data entry, insurance billing, labeling, dispensing, and maintaining a clean, orderly department in accordance with state law.

The ideal candidate will have a High school diploma or GED and at least 600 hours in retail/pharmacy operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position is on-site and integral to daily operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service.
• Enter prescriptions and related data into the computer system (patient search, prescriber search, drug selection, interpretation & entry).
• Process new and refill prescriptions and ensure correct insurance billing.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and place in containers; create prescription labels and affix them.
• Assist with inventory management, restocking, and physical inventory preparation.
• Reconstitute oral liquids where permitted by state law.
