Weis Markets is seeking a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt, accurate service in the Pharmacy Department. The role involves computer entry of prescriptions, insurance billing, and assisting with inventory and label creation to support daily operations.

The position emphasizes accuracy, compliance with state laws, and coordinating with pharmacists to maintain efficient service in a customer-focused retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 600 practical hours in retail and/or pharmacy operations; or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform all functions of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department.
• Enter prescription information including patient search, prescriber search, drug selection, interpretation & entry, and insurance billing.
• Process new and refill prescriptions and obtain refill authorizations where state law allows.
• Retrieve medications from inventory where permitted by state law.
• Create prescription labels and place on containers; place medication into containers where allowed.
• Complete paperwork for filling prescriptions and input data into the computer system where permitted by law.
• Help maintain the Pharmacy department by keeping it clean and in order.
• Assist in inventory management including order review, returns, restocking, and physical inventory prep.
• Reconstitute oral liquids where permitted by state law.

Education
