PharmD preferred; 1-year residency 2 yrs exp/ Tech OPs Lead / flexible days and hours ( 8 or 10 or shifts)
BLS
AZ license preferred.
Credential Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree and/or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited school of Pharmacy
Three (2) years of pharmacist experience; Minimum two (2) years in hospital practice preferred
BLS certification within 90 days of hire
Current and active, unrestricted Pharmacist license; Arizona license preferred
Licensed to administer immunizations, vaccines, and emergency medications preferred
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Directs, manages and supervises daily administrative operations to ensure highest quality service response and delivery consistent with established professional, regulatory and governmental standards
Develops operational and financial outcome measures, related tracking and monitoring systems and a mechanism to integrate efforts into organization-wide Quality Improvement systems
Directs, implements and evaluates development of departmental, functional and/or service related policies and procedures
Proactively assesses program, service and functional effectiveness; makes regular and consistent effort to develop and facilitate continuous process improvement.
Develops and supervises staff through provision of timely feedback and use of appropriate Human Resource policies and tools to facilitate and ensure the ability of staff to achieve highest level of professional growth and desired performance standards
Plans, directs, implements and evaluates computer-based information and dispensing system to ensure ongoing efficiency and accuracy of data capture
Develops, manages and supervises purchasing and inventory management functions to ensure cost effective inventory management while providing timely availability to appropriate pharmaceuticals and related products
Facilitates the professional growth of staff by accurately assessing learning needs, styles and barriers to learning; coordinates learning opportunities.
Prepares monthly progress/operational report; identifies areas of improvement, concern and recommended
Participates in departmental orientation, on the job training and quality assurance programs/initiatives
Participates in a variety of department and hospital educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels; identifies and discusses performance or training needs with Supervisor
Performs other as requested
