Job summary

Milliman, Inc. is seeking a Director of Products and Engineering to create the Milliman Pharmacy Platform from 0 to 1 and scale it. You will set the vision, collaborate with pharmacists and actuaries, and lead a team of AI product engineers and feature owners to deliver client impact and growing revenue.

You will own outcomes, drive adoption, and build a platform that integrates Milliman pharmacy tools and data assets while ensuring governance, security, and scalable architecture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or related field required.
• 7+ years in product leadership within healthcare tech or pharmacy benefits.
• Pharmacy-benefit domain fluency including PBMs, pricing, rebates, and formularies.
• Strong platform thinking with architecture, data model, and integration experience.
• Hands-on AI fluency; experience with generative AI/LLMs in product development.
• Commercial ownership of a product line or P&L; ability to support sales and client relationships.
• Leadership experience building and coaching teams; strong executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set the platform vision and multi-year roadmap; define target customer segments and value proposition.
• Lead platform build with data integrations, security, multi-tenancy, and scalable architecture; ship MVP and iterate.
• Build and scale a cross-functional team of AI product engineers, owners, and TPMs; reduce hands-on work as team matures.
• Own the platform's commercial results: pricing, packaging, pilots, renewals, and expansion.
• Ensure quality and risk management, including HIPAA, AI governance, and secure development practices.
• Represent Milliman in the market through thought leadership, speaking engagements, and client engagements.
