Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations, patient registration, prescription data entry, and medication preparation under pharmacist supervision. The role includes supervising technicians, scheduling, and performance management to ensure efficient workflow and compliance with policies and laws.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in the delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications for patients, counting, and verifying where allowed by law.
• Within the guidelines of authorized company policies, state and federal laws/regulations, delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy.
• Prepare and file reports and records required by the company and government agencies as directed by the Pharmacy Manager or pharmacist.
• Manage core pharmacy workflow and drive excellence in pharmacy operations; organize daily schedule and supply stock.
