Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations and patient registrations under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will assist with prescription data entry, counting, and preparing medications while upholding company policies and regulatory requirements.

You will help expand patient services, including vaccines and health screenings, and contribute to efficient workflows, training, and performance management of the pharmacy team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in the delivery of patient care including patient registration and prescription data entry.
• Prepare medications for patients, counting and verifying under pharmacist supervision.
• Assist with healthcare services offerings including vaccines and health screenings as allowed by law.
• Delegate non-clinical work in the pharmacy under company policies and ensure tasks are completed on time.
• Prepare and file reports required by the company and government agencies.
• Manage core pharmacy workflow and daily schedule; allocate hours and maintain stock.
• Adhere to Good Faith Dispensing policies and report prescription errors to the pharmacist.
• Maintain inventory controls and ensure security safeguards are in place.
