Job summary

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a related field
• Minimum of 5 years management experience with process improvement, project/program management, process engineering and/or performance improvement initiatives
• Experience in retail, specialty, or mail-order pharmacy; pharmacy benefit management (PBM); managed care; pharmacy operations; or other highly regulated healthcare environments preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to communicate findings, recommendations, and performance results to key stakeholders and leadership
• CPhT or other pharmacy technician certification, or certification in quality, auditing, project management, healthcare compliance, or a related discipline preferred
• Ability to work within a reasonable commuting distance of a posting location
• Associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week
• New candidates in certain patient/member-facing roles must become vaccinated against COVID-19 and Influenza

Responsibilities

• Lead operational quality activities related to incident and non-conformance management
• Oversee case investigations, root cause analysis, and error reduction involving pharmacy and/or clinical infusion services
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of investigations
• Maintain productivity and quality standards
• Identify trends and opportunities for process improvement
• Support corrective actions to reduce errors and prevent recurrence
• Ensure operations comply with regulatory, contractual, accreditation, and internal quality requirements
• Identify improvement opportunities and lead development and implementation of best practices
• Drive process standardization, business analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop and monitor performance metrics
• Serve as an internal consultant on continuous improvement opportunities and solutions
• Analyze performance trends and develop action plans
• Participate in quality strategy development
• Lead assigned quality improvement initiatives and integrate improvements into business operations
• Hire, train, coach, counsel, and evaluate associates
