Job summary

Walgreens is hiring a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations and maintain efficient workflows. You will work under a pharmacist, processing prescriptions, handling patient data, and assisting with patient registration and data entry.

The role includes training and supervising technicians, supporting vaccine delivery and health services where allowed by law, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification required where applicable.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• Minimum one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital setting.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative tasks to ensure efficiency and a positive patient experience.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Lead training, coaching and performance management of pharmacy technicians; handle performance decisions as needed.
• Assist pharmacist in patient care activities including registration, data entry, and preparation of medications.
