Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English; willingness to work a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting and verifying (where allowed by law).
• Process prescriptions under supervision of a pharmacist and support healthcare services like vaccines and health screenings.
• Lead training, coaching and performance management of pharmacy technicians and supervise non-clinical staff.
• Ensure accurate insurance claim processing and respond to supplier and patient inquiries to minimize errors.
