Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time, certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations and provide a positive patient experience. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist, handling prescription processing and patient interactions in a fast-paced environment.

The role includes assisting with patient registration, data entry, dispensing support, and participation in health service offerings where allowed by law.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities to ensure efficient workflow and positive patient experience.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians and make disciplinary decisions when needed.
• Assist pharmacist with patient registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, and patient calls under supervision.
