Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will handle patient data, prescriptions, and support vaccine and health service offerings where allowed by law.

You will lead training and performance management of technicians, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with company policies. A flexible schedule and English fluency are required, with immunization certification readiness

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in certain Walgreens locations).
• Previous management/leadership experience preferred.
• Previous Walgreens work experience noted on last performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications for patients, counting and verifying (where allowed by law).
• Under supervision of a pharmacist, assist with healthcare service offerings including vaccines and health screenings (where allowed by law).
• Manage pharmacy workflow, organize daily schedule, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
