Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time, non-clinical pharmacy technician to support day-to-day operations under pharmacist supervision. The role involves registering patients, data entry, and preparing medications while ensuring a smooth workflow and a positive patient experience.

The candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent, a current PTCB certification (where required), and at least 1 year of retail or hospital experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care activities including patient registration and prescription data entry.
• Prepare medications for patients, counting and verifying under supervision.
• Engage in healthcare services offerings such as vaccines and health screenings where allowed by law.
• Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy under policy and law.
• Maintain records, reports, inventory, and ensure security of pharmacy operations.
• Communicate prescription errors to the supervising pharmacist and support CQI processes.
• Support store and pharmacy managers in improving financials, operations, and customer service.
