Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time, non-clinical pharmacy operations technician to support daily functions under a pharmacist’s supervision. You will handle patient registration, data entry, medication preparation, and non-clinical tasks to maintain efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.

You will also participate in training, performance management, and process improvements, including assisting with vaccines and health screenings where allowed by law.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations)

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including patient registration and prescription data entry.
• Prepare medications for patients; counting and verifying as allowed by law.
• Assist with vaccines and health screenings where allowed.
• Delegate non-clinical tasks under supervision to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Support inventory management and recordkeeping for security and audits.
