Job summary

Walgreens in Brookline, MA is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will process prescriptions, register patients, enter data, prepare medications, and help maintain a compliant workflow and accurate records.

You will lead training and performance management of technicians, delegate non-clinical tasks, support vaccination and health services where allowed, and ensure a positive patient experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• PTCB certification required.
• One year of experience as a pharmacy technician.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting and verification where allowed by law.
• Handle patient calls under supervision of a pharmacist and assist with healthcare service offerings like vaccines where allowed by law.
• Delegate, direct and assign non-clinical work to ensure on-time task completion and efficient workflow.
• Prepare and file reports/records required by the company and government agencies.
• Lead training and performance management of pharmacy technicians and oversee scheduling.
