Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical operations, patient registration, prescription data entry, and preparation of medications under pharmacist supervision.

The role includes supervising technicians, training and coaching staff, managing workflow, handling insurance processing, and assisting with vaccines and health services while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting and verification.
• Complete patient and physician calls under supervision and support vaccine and health service offerings where allowed by law.
• Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work to technicians while ensuring on-time completion and compliant workflow.
• Prepare and file reports required by the company and government agencies under pharmacist guidance.
• Maintain pharmacy workflow, inventory, and security while ensuring accurate insurance claims processing.
