Walgreens in Irving, TX is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will handle patient registration, data entry, medication preparation, and calls to patients while contributing to a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities include ensuring accurate inventory and records, supporting vaccines and health screenings where allowed, and training junior technicians.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification.
• Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications for patients, counting, and verifying where allowed by law.
• Under supervision of a pharmacist, assist with healthcare service offerings including administering vaccines and health screenings where allowed by law.
• Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy to ensure on-time task completion and efficient workflow.
• Prepare and file reports and records required by company and government agencies.
• Manage core pharmacy workflow and daily schedule, allocate hours, and ensure stock and cleanliness of the pharmacy.
