Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician to perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities, under pharmacist supervision. The role includes staffing, training, and performance management of pharmacy technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities include patient registration, prescription data entry, med preparation, vaccination support where allowed by law, and collaboration with the Pharmacy

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in Community Specialty Pharmacy and Health System Pharmacy locations)

Responsibilities

• Engages customers, greets and assists with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
• Supports pharmacist in patient care activities and data entry.
• Manages pharmacy workflow and schedules under pharmacist supervision.
• Drives training, performance management, and development of technicians.
• Ensures compliance with policies, laws, and security requirements.
