Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician to support day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and ensure an efficient workflow with excellent patient experience.

Under pharmacist supervision, you’ll assist with prescription data entry, patient registration, and non-clinical services while participating in training and performance development of technicians. You will help manage inventory and ensure compliance with policies and laws.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist with patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting, and verification where allowed by law.
• Complete patient and physician calls under supervision of a pharmacist (where allowed by law).
• Assist with healthcare service offerings including vaccines, health screenings, and related services where allowed by law.
• Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work in the pharmacy under company policies and laws, ensuring on-time task completion.
• Prepare and file reports and records required by the company and government agencies.
• Manage core pharmacy workflow and daily schedule, allocate hours, and ensure a clean, stocked environment.
• Ensure compliance and recordkeeping for Good Faith Dispensing and inventory management under supervision.
