Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a full-time, certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical operations, patient registration, prescription data entry, and medication preparation under a pharmacist.

You will help with vaccines and health screenings where allowed, manage inventory, training, and performance management of technicians, and ensure accurate insurance claim processing and compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care activities including patient registration and prescription data entry.
• Prepare medications for patients and verify prescriptions under supervision.
• Support vaccination administration and health screenings where allowed.
• Manage pharmacy workflow, inventory, and records in compliance with policies.
• Lead training and performance management of technicians.
• Handle insurance claims and pharmacy financials to reduce errors.
