Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations and patient services in a busy retail setting.

Under pharmacist supervision, you will assist with prescription data entry, medication preparation, and policy compliance while leading technician staffing and development. A strong customer-service mindset is essential to foster a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care, including prescription data entry and preparation of medications.
• Handle prescription processing and calls under pharmacist supervision.
• Support vaccine administration and health screenings where allowed by law.
• Ensure compliance with policies and laws; manage inventory and records.
• Lead and manage pharmacy technicians and scheduling.
• Communicate with customers to resolve issues and improve service.
