Job summary

Walgreens Pharmacy in North Arlington, NJ is seeking a full-time Certified Pharmacy Technician to support non-clinical operations under a pharmacist's supervision. You will assist with prescription data entry, patient registration, and medication preparation, while aiding in vaccines and health services where allowed by law.

You will lead non-clinical tasks, ensure efficient workflow, and help manage inventory and records, maintaining compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including registration, data entry, medication prep and verification.
• Handle patient calls and respond to non-clinical inquiries under pharmacist supervision.
• Support vaccination, health screenings and other law-allowed health services.
• Delegate non-clinical tasks within company policies and ensure on-time completion.
• Prepare and file reports required by company and government agencies.
• Manage daily pharmacy workflow and scheduling to ensure efficiency.
• Oversee inventory management and annual stock preparation with pharmacist oversight.
• Maintain security and asset protection, report any concerns to the Pharmacy Manager.
• Communicate prescription errors and support continuous quality improvement.
