Job summary

Walgreens in New Jersey is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations, assist pharmacists, and ensure efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.

Under supervision, you will train and lead technicians, manage schedules, handle patient data entry, prepare medications, assist with vaccines and health screenings where allowed, and help maintain compliance, inventory, and store policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• PTCB certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities; ensure efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.
• Operate pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions under pharmacist supervision.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians and participate in scheduling.
• Engage customers, respond to requests, and resolve complaints to enhance patient experience.
• Assist with patient registration, prescription data entry, and preparation/verification of medications where allowed by law.
• Support vaccination and health service offerings where permitted, and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Manage inventory, reports, and security safeguards; ensure proper dispensing practices and audit readiness.
