Job summary

Walgreens in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations and maintain a positive patient experience. You will work under the supervision of a pharmacist and other supervisors to handle prescription processing, data entry, and patient registration.

You will lead technician training, manage performance, and collaborate with store leadership to optimize workflow, inventory, and store operations while ensuring compliance with laws

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required and PTCB certification is preferred.
• Experience supervising or coaching pharmacy technicians is advantageous.
• Fluency in English and knowledge of pharmacy operations are expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting and verifying under supervision.
• Respond to non-clinical patient questions and support vaccine and health service offerings where allowed by law.
• Lead, train and manage technicians; delegate tasks and monitor performance and compliance.
