Job summary

Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company is seeking an Operations Supervisor for the Tempe, AZ Accredo fulfillment pharmacy. The role oversees daily operations, promotes best practices, and coaches staff to meet productivity standards.

The position requires a high school diploma, pharmacy technician certification a plus, and strong leadership and communication skills. Weekend and weekday shifts are specified, with a focus on collaboration and problem solving.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Pharmacy Technician Certification is a plus.
• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing/distribution strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to develop and assist team members.
• General PC knowledge; MS Office, Internet, email.
• Excellent verbal, written and phone communication.
• Experience in training and coaching less experienced staff.
• Advanced problem solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic working environment, make independent decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to handle difficult conversations in a professional manner.
• Ability to work shift: Sunday 7am-3:30pm, Monday-Thursday 10am–7pm.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of a team of associates in Pharmacy Operations.
• Monitor productivity and performance standards; plan and direct workflow and project assignments.
• Promote a positive team environment and share best practices.
• Develop, coach, and provide feedback to employees on quality, reliability, accountability and productivity.
• Oversee team and individual performance standards and service standards are met.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions.
