Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Technician to support day-to-day non-clinical operations and administrative activities under pharmacist supervision. You will help with prescription data entry, patient interactions, and vaccine/health service support where allowed by law.

You will lead technician training, performance management, and scheduling while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities to ensure efficient workflow and positive patient experience.
• Assist pharmacist in patient care including prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting, and verification where allowed by law.
• Handle patient and physician calls under supervision of a pharmacist and support healthcare services like vaccines and health screenings where permitted by law.
• Delegate, direct, and assign non-clinical work to pharmacy staff within policy; ensure on-time completion and accountability.
• Maintain records and reports; manage inventory and asset protection; support quality improvement and pay transparency initiatives.
