Job summary

Walgreens in Kansas is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist. You will assist with patient registration, prescription data entry, and preparation of medications, while ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• PTCB certification is required (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations.
• Assist pharmacist with patient registration and prescription data entry.
• Support vaccine administration and health services where allowed by law.
• Lead training, coaching, and performance management of technicians.
• Oversee inventory management and annual inventory preparation.
• Ensure accurate processing of insurance claims and resolve issues.
• Coordinate outreach and community pharmacy partnerships.
