Job summary

Walgreens in Laurinburg, NC, is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician. You will assist pharmacists, enter prescriptions, prepare medications, and help ensure a positive patient experience and efficient pharmacy workflow.

You will support non-clinical operations under pharmacist supervision, participate in training and performance management, manage inventory, and assist with immunizations and health services as allowed by law.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification is required (except in Puerto Rico).
• Has one year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, counting and verifying (where allowed by law).
• Under pharmacist supervision, perform health services including administering vaccines and health screenings where allowed by law.
• Lead training, coaching and performance management of pharmacy technicians and handle discipline under policy.
