Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to handle day-to-day non-clinical operations under a pharmacist. This role ensures efficient workflow and a positive patient experience in a retail pharmacy setting.

You will assist with patient registration, prescription data entry, medication preparation, and insurance processing while supporting immunization services where allowed. You’ll lead training and development of technicians and uphold company policies and regulatory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• PTCB certification required.
• Minimum one year of experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Engages customers and patients by greeting them, answering questions, and ensuring a positive experience.
• Assists pharmacist with patient registration, prescription data entry, and medication preparation.
• Leads training, coaching, and performance management of pharmacy technicians.
• Manages core pharmacy workflow and coordinates daily scheduling and inventory tasks.
• Drives new technology/process rollouts and ensures security and regulatory compliance.
