Job summary

Walgreens Co. is seeking a full-time certified pharmacy technician to support day-to-day non-clinical pharmacy operations and ensure an efficient workflow and a positive patient experience under pharmacist supervision.

You will assist with patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications, and calls to patients and physicians. Responsibilities also include inventory management, training and performance management of technicians, and adherence to Good Faith Dispensing

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Experience in customer service or patient interaction is advantageous.
• PTCB certification is required to qualify as a technician.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Willingness to obtain immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in delivery of patient care including patient registration, prescription data entry, preparation of medications and counting and verifying (where allowed by law).
• Handle patient and physician calls under supervision of a pharmacist; participate in health services such as vaccines and screenings where allowed by law.
• Delegate, direct and assign non-clinical work within company policies to ensure efficient workflow and compliance.
• Prepare and file reports required by company and government agencies under supervision.
• Maintain accurate insurance processing and support store/ pharmacy operations and inventory management.
