Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a full-time pharmacy technician to support non-clinical pharmacy operations and patient services under a pharmacist’s supervision. You will help with prescription processing, patient data entry, and administrative duties to ensure efficient workflow and a positive patient experience.

The role includes training and supervising pharmacy technicians, and involvement in performance management, scheduling, and process improvements under company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in delivery of patient care including prescription data entry and preparation of medications.
• Perform non-clinical pharmacy operations and administrative activities.
• Process insurance claims and respond to related inquiries to resolve issues.
• Lead training, coaching and performance management of technicians.
