Job summary

Walgreens in Sandy, Oregon seeks a full-time, non-clinical pharmacy technician to support day-to-day operations under pharmacist supervision. You will handle prescription data entry, prepare medications, and assist with vaccines and health services as allowed by law.

You will lead technician training, manage scheduling, and ensure accurate records while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• PTCB certification required (except in Puerto Rico).
• At least 1 year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in patient care activities, including prescription data entry and medication prep.
• Support non-clinical operations, manage workflow, and ensure accurate dispensing.
• Lead training and coaching of pharmacy technicians; manage performance and scheduling.
• Engage customers, resolve complaints, and promote pharmacy services.
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and recordkeeping.
