Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited school.
• Current pharmacist licensure in states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including dispensing, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, software and insurance billing.
• Experience with state and federal controlled substance laws.
• Average leadership rating 3.0+ on last performance review (internal candidates).

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on usage, side effects, interactions, privacy, generics, cheaper meds, and OTC products.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets, and accurately dispenses prescribed medications.
• Ensures pharmacy operates in compliance with regulations and policies; manages staffing and workflow.
• Applies Good Faith Dispensing policy with state/federal laws.
• Collaborates with Store Manager to develop new business opportunities.
• Maintains IT knowledge of pharmacy systems and supports staff and patients.
• Ensures insurance claims are processed accurately and handles third-party audits.
• Follows up with providers on dosages, refills, interactions; provides immunizations and wellness services.
• Performs clinical services such as immunizations and disease state management.
• Manages patient registration and virtual product reviews per procedures.
• Maintains pharmacy facilities and layout for efficiency.
• Prepares and submits regulatory records and performance reports.
