Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacist Manager to lead a busy retail pharmacy team in the United States. You will counsel patients, manage dispensing, and ensure safety and compliance with regulations while driving excellent patient experiences.

The role focuses on operations, staff development, inventory control, and collaboration with healthcare providers to deliver immunizations, drug reviews, and wellness services.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the relevant states.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and insurance billing.
• Experience with state and federal controlled substances laws.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients and answers questions regarding usage, side effects, interactions, and generics.
• Performs dispensing, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and efficient pharmacy workflow, including staffing and scheduling.
• Builds relationships with local medical community and supports health services promotion.
• Manages inventory, financials, and performance metrics of the pharmacy.
