Walgreens is hiring a Pharmacy Manager to lead a busy retail pharmacy in the United States. You will oversee medication dispensing, immunizations, and comprehensive patient care while ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.

The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, and optimizing pharmacy workflows. You will collaborate with store leadership to expand health and wellness services, manage inventory, and maintain high patient satisfaction.

Qualifikationen

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D Degree from an accredited educational institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance billing.

Aufgaben

• Counsels patients on usage, interactions, side effects, and generics; refers to medical provider as needed.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets, and dispenses prescribed medications; ensures compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Oversees pharmacy workflow, staff scheduling, shift changes, and opening/closing duties.
• Ensures Good Faith Dispensing per state/federal laws and oversees product review/retail fill process.
• Collaborates with Store Manager to develop strategic opportunities and manages IT systems supporting pharmacy operations.
• Coordinates with insurance to prevent claim rejections and handles third-party audits.
• Maintains relationships with local medical community and supports health and wellness initiatives.
