Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to plan, direct and supervise the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy. You will staff appropriately, fill prescriptions accurately, manage inventory, ensure patient safety, and maintain compliance with corporate policies and regulations.

The ideal candidate holds a Doctorate of Pharmacy or PharmD, is a licensed pharmacist, CPR certified, and immunization certified where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered Pharmacist in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• CPR Certification.
• 3 years of experience in retail/community practice.
• One year management experience (preferred).
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system and policies/corporate procedures.
• Successful completion of all required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Staffing selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Prepares and conducts performance reviews of pharmacists and technicians.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions.
• Fills prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Implements and executes pharmacy programs, including financial results, clinical services, labor, inventory, stock loss, security, patient services, and profitability.
• Educates and mentors staff to be effective team members.
• Motivates team members to perform to their highest level.
• Maintains Meijer policies and state/federal laws.
