Job summary

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Licensed pharmacist in the applicable district states.
• Immunizer certification or readiness to obtain within 90 days.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience including dispensing and compliance.
• Experience with prescription dispensing and controlled substance laws.
• Leadership rating of 3.0+ on last review (internal candidates).

Responsibilities

• Engage patients to provide empathetic pharmaceutical consultations and ensure positive experiences.
• Counsel on drug use, interactions, side effects, generics, and OTC options; refer to providers when needed.
• Perform compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Maintain regulatory compliance, set workflows, scheduling, and shift changes.
• Follow Good Faith Dispensing policies with state/federal laws.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to identify new business opportunities.
• Maintain pharmacy IT systems knowledge for workflow, billing, inventory, and POS.
• Ensure accurate insurance claims processing and handle third-party audits.
• Clarify prescriptions with providers and perform diagnostic or wellness services.
• Provide immunizations, testing, disease state management, and related services.
• Coordinate with centralized support for patient registration and issue resolution.
• Oversee maintenance, housekeeping, and improvements to the pharmacy department.
• Prepare and submit required state/federal records and reports.

Education

BS in Pharmacy or PharmD Degree from an accredited educational institution

Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district

Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire

At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance billing

Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate knowledge of controlled substance laws

Average leadership rating of 3.0+ on the last performance review (Internal candidates only)
