Job summary

Ascension is seeking a leader for Home Delivery Pharmacy Services in Austin, Texas. The role focuses on medication safety, pharmacoeconomics, training, and budget management within a dynamic health system.

Required are a PharmD and either 3 years of experience or completion of a Health System Pharmacy Administration residency. MBA/MHA and multi-state licensure are preferred, with residency in Austin area encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement performance improvement initiatives focused on medication safety and pharmacoeconomics.

• Develop and manage the departmental budget with a focus on cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Participate in interdisciplinary committees to support quality improvement.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead and implement performance improvement initiatives focused on medication safety, medication-use evaluations, and pharmacoeconomic outcomes.
• Design, coordinate, and oversee competency assessments, training programs, and professional development for pharmacists, pharmacy residents, and pharmacy students.
• Develop and manage the departmental budget with a strategic focus on cost-effectiveness and pharmacoeconomic optimization.
• Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and Board of Pharmacy regulations and standards.
• Actively participate in and contribute to interdisciplinary committees to support organizational goals and quality improvement efforts.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• Pharmacist obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensure required relevant to state in which work is performed. Must possess all state and local qualifications.

Education

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.

Work Experience

• 3 years of experience required OR a graduate from an accredited Health System Pharmacy Administration residency program required.

Additional Preferences

• MBA or MHA is highly preferred.
• 5 years as a pharmacist.
• Management and Leadership experience.
• Multiple State Licenses.
• Must reside in the Austin, Texas area, or seeking to relocate.
