Job summary

Walgreens is seeking an experienced Pharmacist Manager to lead a high-volume, patient-centered pharmacy team in the United States. The role focuses on safe medication use, immunizations, drug therapy reviews, and compliance with regulations.

You will oversee operations, inventory, staff performance, and workflow improvements while collaborating with store leadership on growth opportunities and community health initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and insurance billing.
• Experience with state and federal controlled substance laws and governance.
• Leadership rating expectations on last performance review if an internal candidate.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine use, interactions, and privacy.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures accurate dispensing and regulatory compliance.
• Oversees pharmacy workflow, inventory, and staff performance.
• Partners with Store Manager on strategic opportunities and growth.
