Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance billing.
• Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate knowledge of state and federal controlled substance laws.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on use of medicines, side effects, interactions, contraindications, generics, and OTC products.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Reviews, interprets, and dispenses prescribed medications in accordance with regulations.
• Oversees pharmacy workflow, scheduling, roles, and training of staff while ensuring compliance with policies.
• Collaborates with Store Manager to define business opportunities and improve patient experience.
• Maintains IT knowledge of pharmacy systems, workflow, billing, and inventory management.
