Qualifications

• BS in Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.
• At least 1 year pharmacy experience including prescription filling, recordkeeping, legal compliance, pharmacy operations, software and insurance billing.
• Experience with prescription dispensing and knowledge of state/federal controlled substance laws.

Responsibilities

• Engages patients to ensure a positive experience and answers questions.
• Counsels patients about medicine usage, interactions, side effects, and privacy; refer to provider as needed.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and company policies; manages staff scheduling and roles.
• Maintains IT knowledge of pharmacy systems, workflow, billing, and inventory; supports staff and patients.
