Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacy teams at our Sacramento-area locations. You will apply your school training under a licensed pharmacist, assist with prescription processing, patient service, immunizations, and gain exposure to store operations and leadership perspectives.

You will follow SOPs, help ensure safe, accurate dispensing, and learn to counsel patients while developing clinical and technical knowledge.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Demonstrates empathy and patient-focused service while following SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to assist pharmacists and technicians and improve patient health.
• Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment through established workflows.
• Counsel patients and answer medical questions under supervision.
• Assist with immunizations and offsite clinics where allowed by law.
• Maintain inventory and participate in cycle counts and returns-to-stocks.
