Job summary

CVS Health in the United States is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to translate classroom learning into real‑world pharmacy practice. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a training roadmap designed to show you firsthand what it’s like to be part of a pharmacy team, while gaining an overview of store, district, and regional operations.

Qualifications

• ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy enrollment or acceptance.
• Valid intern and/or technician licensure as required, in process acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists and Technicians manage patient health.
• Assist in safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and pharmacy workflow procedures.
• Counsel patients, answer medical questions, and collect medical history when appropriate under supervision.
• Take telephonic prescriptions, clarify prescriptions with prescribers when allowed by state regulations.
• Support inventory activities and participate in training, coaching, and mentoring of staff.
