Walgreens Boots Alliance in Ironwood, MI is seeking a post-graduate pharmacy intern to work under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, fulfilling state board requirements and providing pharmacy consulting to customers on medication usage, drug interactions, and preventive health services such as immunizations.

You will assist in compounding, dispensing, review, and verification of prescribed medications while ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies, and supporting

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from accredited University outside the United States.
Foreign Pharmacist Graduate Equivalency Certificate (FPGEC).
Intern permit/certificate issued by the respective Board of Pharmacy.
Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 45 days of intern hours.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Engages in post-graduate pharmacy activities under direct supervision to meet state board requirements.
Provides pharmacy consulting on medication usage, interactions and preventive healthcare services.
Assists in compounding, dispensing, review and verification of prescribed medications.
Supports workflow, inventory management and pharmacy financial performance.
Grows relationships with healthcare providers and supports community health initiatives.
