Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacist to provide pharmacy consulting, compounding, dispensing and medication management while ensuring regulatory compliance and patient safety.

You will support pharmacy workflows, optimize inventory, and enhance customer experience, including immunizations and preventive care services.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain PharmD before start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within district guidelines (state boards).
• Certified Immunizer or willingness to become one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and privacy.
• Performs compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures compliance with regulations and policies; assists with efficient workflow.
• Responsible for opening and closing the pharmacy and shift changes.
• Ensures Good Faith Dispensing policy compliance with state and federal laws.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy IT systems and proposes enhancements.
• Handles insurance claims processing and follows up with payers.
