Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions and OTC options; refer to medical provider when needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operates in compliance with regulations; assists manager with efficient workflow and opening/closing duties.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems (Intercom Plus, StoreNET, registers, automation) and proposes enhancements.
• Processes insurance claims and follows up with insurers and providers to prevent payment rejections.
• Provides immunizations and preventive healthcare services (e.g., flu shots, diabetes awareness).
• Develops relationships with local medical community and participates in community outreach.
